Ghostwriter pricing for manuscripts, screenplays, theater scripts, speeches & more.

Why does pricing vary so much? Professional ghostwriting is priced according to the amount of work involved, not simply the number of pages. Research, interviews, organization, revisions, and the complexity of the subject matter all influence the final cost. Are we the cheapest? No, but you could easily find writers that charge a lot more. The bottom line is this: quality, proven, writers will not attempt to compete with bargain-basement types. They’re worth more and they know it.

Additional Notes

Most projects begin with a conversation, not a quote. We’ll ask questions, learn about your project, and recommend the most efficient approach before discussing fees. No reputable ghostwriter can accurately quote a project in five minutes. Professional estimates are based on anticipated interview time, research requirements, manuscript condition, and the amount of collaboration involved. You will be provided with a price quote and payment terms during your free consultation with the writer.

Something to bear in mind: Two 60,000-word books may have identical word counts yet require dramatically different amounts of work. One author may provide a detailed outline, completed research, and organized notes. Another may begin with nothing more than memories and a box of photographs. The final manuscript may be the same length, but the amount of interviewing, organizing, researching, and writing is vastly different.

Payment Plans

We can often accommodate requests for a payment plan. The overall billing must exceed $1,000 for multiple payments, otherwise the work must be prepaid. The number of payments depends upon the contract value. Example: we may allow four equal payments for a book project valued at $15,000. Payment plans require a contract. The terms are to be negotiated with the assigned writer, and those terms will be specified in the contract for work. All payments must be completed by the final delivery date.
